Friday, June 28th…
Sounds at Sundown
Sounds at Sundown is the City of Murphy’s summer concert series at the Murphy Central Park Amphitheater (550 N. Murphy Rd.). This week features Emerald City… America’s #1 Live Party Cover Band. The event starts at 7:00 pm and the band will play from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. If you don’t like something on this song list… you just simply don’t like music.
Saturday, June 29th…
Woodbridge 4th of July Bike Parade
Bright and early, right here in my neighborhood, is the Inaugural Woodbridge 4th of July Bike Parade. The parade will start at Whitt Elementary and have a 0.2-mile parade route. Come at 8:30 am and join the parade or line the parade route and cheer on the participants. For all of the details click this link.
Bluegrass on Ballard
Bluegrass on Ballard starts at 10 am and ends at 9:00 pm. Historic Downtown Wylie will indeed be wide awake for this free festival featuring top bluegrass bands, a 200+ car show, 100+ arts and crafts vendors, great fair food and children’s activities. Market Street Allen USA Celebration
Centered around the theme of being “First to the Fourth,” Market Street Allen USA serves as the City of Allen’s Fourth of July celebration. Market Street Allen USA is held the last Saturday of June every year and is happening this year at 4 p.m. June 29, 2019, at Celebration Park in Allen, TX. (FREE to attend.) In 2003, Allen USA’s attendance really took off with a move to Allen’s new 106-acre Celebration Park. Since that time, the event has grown to a regular attendance of up to 80,000 people and has included national recording artists such as Survivor, JT Taylor from Kool and the Gang, Eddie Money, 38 Special, Three Dog Night and The Commodores to name a few. Sachse’s Red, White, and Blue Blast
Sachse’s Annual Red, White, and Blue Blast will be Wednesday, July 3rd, at Heritage Park (4408 Hudson Dr., Sachse, TX) at 6:00 pm. There will be live entertainment, activities, food, vendors, bounce houses, contests, and of course, fireworks. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to sit on and join us for an evening of good old-fashioned family fun. Click here for the schedule of activities.
Addison KaBoom Town!
KaBoom Town is the full meal deal with carnival rides, a ton of food vendors, live music, an air show, of course, it wouldn’t be called KaBoom Town! Without fireworks, and then Emerald City will provide live music after the fireworks. The event is FREE but capacity is limited so it is advisable to get there early. There is also FREE parking available in the area parking garages. The fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 pm. For a full schedule of events click here.
Frisco Freedom Fest
Frisco Freedom Fest has events on July 3rd and on July 4th. The schedule on July 3rd starts at 6:00 pm with a cornhole tournament, a corny dog eating contest, a Dachshund Dash and ends with the Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5K & Glow Run at 9:00 pm. Click here for a parking area map.

Frisco Freedom Fest continued…
Frisco Freedom Fest continues on July 4th starting at 4:00 pm with the opening ceremony and a military flyover provided by the Service Air Corps. Then enjoy the bounce houses, face painters, strolling entertainers, and games. There will be music on the community stage by a series of various performers and the fireworks will kick off at the conclusion of the FC Dallas match at Toyota Stadium. Star Spangled Spectacular
Firewheel Town Center, in conjunction with the City of Garland, will celebrate our nation’s independence with a full afternoon of family fun at the Star Spangled Spectacular event on Thursday, July 4th from 4 – 9:15 PM. This event is FREE and open to the community. Richardson Family 4th Celebration
Sparks will fly at the City of Richardson’s annual Family 4th Celebration on Thursday, July 4, at Breckinridge Park (3555 Brand Rd.). This traditional, patriotic salute is free and open to the entire community. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets and/or lawn chairs and enjoy the evening under the stars! Red, White, and Boom
Celebrate Independence Day in McKinney. There are activities for the entire family for a full day of hometown fun! The City of McKinney celebrates the Fourth of July at Red, White, and BOOM! with free family activities, live entertainment, and a spectacular firework show on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Red, White, and BOOM! kicks off Independence Day with downtown events: a hometown parade at 10:00 am and a classic car, truck and cycle show starting at 1:00 pm. Plano’s All American 4th Festival & Fireworks
Light up your night – and day – with Plano’s All American 4th! Join us at Oak Point Park (2801 Spring Creek Parkway) to celebrate the USA with a day of festival and fireworks. Live music, a free kid’s zone with bounce houses and rock climbing, a food, and vendor market, and a fantastic fireworks display are all part of this FREE, family-friendly event at Collin College. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come celebrate Independence Day! Everything kicks off at 4:00 pm and ends with a fireworks display. Enjoy all of the professional fireworks shows you can make it to… but remember… personal use or possession of fireworks inside almost all city limits is illegal and comes with some rather heavy fines. Also, if you are going to shoot personal fireworks in unincorporated areas where it is legal… please use them safely and responsibly!
